Life is so precious to be wasted. God has given us our lives — He breathed His very breath in our nostrils and we became living souls. God’s breath is in us! This truth is more than enough to keep us in excellent health always.

As a blogger, I want to be able to touch people’s lives and bring hope to the poor who cannot afford to buy the expensive conventional medicine. I am one of those who take natural health supplements, they’re actually not hard to find. There are many authentic sellers online who accept ach payment and will ship the supplements within the day, and you’ll either get it the next day or a certain period of time depending on your location.

I’ve always emphasizedin most of my articles that aside from taking medicines and supplements that doctors prescribe, phytonutrients can also be found in fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables have potent healing powers to cure almost all diseases. Water, fresh air, and sunlight are all good for optimum health. Regular exercise is excellent for blood circulation to ward off all diseases. Laughter can vanish away stress, and can cure almost all types of cancer without drugs. Positive mental attitude and trust in Divine Power strengthen the immune system to protect our body from all pathogens.

Perhaps the whole family is planning a tour holiday in the tropics to be away from the cold winter season at home. Surely the kids can’t wait to bask in a shore of white sands under the cloudless tropical sky. How invigorating it would be to feel the warmth of blue crystal-clear sea water while swimming together with your family in pristine white beaches!

Holidays are for the whole family to enjoy. During this coming Christmas holidays, bring your family in a beautiful place where you’ve been dreaming to be, and spend your time happily with them. It is the best time for bonding and showing love for your kids and loved ones. Christmas season is long, and you will have more time with your family.

Happy memories are few, and money can’t always buy them. Share happy moments with your family during the holidays, and let them cherish these happy memories in their lives. Money are spent and gone, but the joy and happiness that the holidays bring will always remain in the hearts of your loved ones.

Holidays should be planned in advance. Book your flight and hotel accommodation early and avail of discount holiday prices to save more money. Some travel agency can offer you cheap hotel deals and big discounts. They can also assist you even in last minute flights.

Holidays are fast approaching. Let us unwind from our daily office work, and have an exciting holiday vacation together with our family.

What is The Real Meaning Of Christmas? For me and my family, the real meaning of Christmas is celebrating God’s love for us, that he gave us his only Son Jesus Christ. It’s the season for giving, out of love. It is not just another occasion to party, eat, drink to your heart’s content, it is about giving love to all and all of it. The real essence of celebrating the Christmas Holidays is love.

For the rest of the world, Christmas is day of celebration to commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. But do you know that Christmas is not in the Bible nor enjoined by God to be celebrated yearly. It is a pagan holiday dedicated to the Persian god Mithras, and to Sol Invictus, the sun god of the Romans.

Christmas is of pagan origin. It was not and is not a Christian holiday. December 25 used to be a festival where sun worshippers celebrated the nativity of their sun god, Sol Invictus or the “unconquered sun”. In the Julian calendar, December 25 was reckoned as the winter solstice. This was the day of the year, in the Southern Hemisphere, with the longest daylight. And it was for that reason, the day being the longest and the sun being brighter on that day that the sun worshippers of ancient Rome thought that their sun god was born on that day, hence their festival in December 25.

The festival was not named Christmas originally. During the mid fourth century, December 25 was a pagan holiday celebrated to commemorate the giving birth to a son by Astarte, the Semitic goddess of love and war, to a son. It started in Syria and Egypt, and eventually spread and became popular in the whole empire when Emperor Aurelan proclaimed it as a holiday for the commemoration of the birth of their sun god Sol Invictus, and the giving birth of a son by Astarte to be be celebrated by both the pagans and the Christians. The church fathers and elders of the early Christian church refused to celebrate December 25 as the date of birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. But as time went on, and as many pagans were converted to Christianity, December 25 gradually began to be celebrated as Christmas. And the pagans brought all the colorful Christmas decorations in the churches, in public places, and in our homes.

We are all guilty of worshiping God on the wrong day. We may be ignorant of the facts, or the motives in our heart are genuinely good, but they do not justify us from our sin in committing idolatry.

To us Christians, Christmas belongs to Christ. We believe that Christ was born in a manger in Bethlehem on that day, and we celebrate it every year to show our joy and happiness that God, in spite of our being a sinner, sent his only begotten Son to redeem us from sin. It is our way of reciprocating the wonderful love that God has given us through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Christmas is for everybody. It is for the children, for the young, and for the elderly. It is for all the people on this Earth, whether rich or poor, weak or strong, slave or free. Christmas is not giving gifts or love in a day, but giving throughout the year. Christmas is loving our neighbors as God has loved us. Christmas is sharing our food with the hungry. Christmas is giving justice to the oppressed. Christmas is removing the yoke and the heavy burdens of our loved ones, relatives, friends, and neighbors. Christmas is forgiving one another as God has forgiven us. Christmas is drawing our souls to the afflicted ones and relieving their sorrows and miseries. Christmas is loving God above all with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all mind.

Sunday : Fun and Fitness Day in The Community

It is a beautiful Sunday morning. The sky is cloudless and clear. The sun shines bright against the blue sky, and the warmth of the sun is just fine.

As usual, people go outdoor for a walk. As early as 5 o’clock in the morning, most of our neighbors go to the plaza at the academy to exercise. It is a day for physical exercise after the sabbath day, and a day to meet and chat with church members, friends, and acquaintances.

The mothers and their young children play happily at the swings and the seesaws. The older children brachiate at the monkey bars. After the swing and the seesaw, the mothers and their young children walk around the oval for five up to ten rounds. Some walk briskly, and the others walk leisurely, and feel the cool, invigorating fresh air from the surrounding trees. When tired, they sat at benches under the trees before resuming their exercises again.

Some of the women have their aerobic exercises in the gymnasium. A lady who works in the hospital is the one who leads them in their exercises. Housewives, most especially those who are fat and obese are being guided to do proper aerobics, and even men are welcome to participate.

Some are playing basketball at the gymnasium too, and still others are playing tennis at the courts. The men are busy playing with their office colleagues and friends. Most players are workers of the union, and elders and officers of the church. A membership fee and a monthly due is required to be able to play tennis at the court.

After some hours of mild exercises, the mothers and their children go home to start their daily chores, while the fathers remain to play tennis. Sometimes, they play tennis throughout the day. There are three tennis courts only, so most players have to wait for their turn to play.

At home, the children help their mothers prepare their breakfast. After breakfast, the children study their lessons, while their mothers wash the clothes and uniforms of their children for school.

Upon completion of household chores, the mothers or the fathers go around the community or to the city to sell books. These are literature evangelists that sell medical books, health books, and spiritual books. Some of our neighbors are literature evangelists. We bought good medical and health books from them, and spiritual books too. These books are good guides to a healthy disease-free living. The spiritual books are good for the children’s development of good moral characters and the acquisition of good moral values that are so needful in a decadent society such as ours today.

Don’t forget about your husband, wife, and partner in life too, give time and show your appreciation. Tickets for the two of you in a romantic Sunday night, a time together just enjoying each others company while enjoying great music is just a simple way to say, you mean so much to me and I love spending time with you.

For me Thanksgiving Day is a celebration of life, love, and success. The best part of it is being together with the whole family, thanking God for all the blessing that he’s given us, and he will shower us with every single day for the rest of our lives.

It’s not everyday that you get to be with your loved ones, or pray and eat together with them in one happy place called home. But the place does not really matter that much, wherever you celebrate it, for as long as you’re with your family and you’re happy, you still feel at home and it’s something worth thanking for.

Aside from thanking God, don’t forget to thank every single person who made a big difference in your life, those who touched you in a good way, and even those who weren’t so nice, because of them you became stronger. Most of all, it’s a day to thank yourself, for being you, and treating yourself for everything that you’ve accomplished. Happy Thanksgiving Day to All!

Where can we trace violent games that children play? Where do they usually learn to be aggressive? Whether we’ll accept it or not we have invited a powerful teacher/model inside our home, our television sets. Yes, it could teach good values to little kids if we direct them to watch programs that really suites them.

If we take a closer look, not all anime shows are good for kids. Some shows violence, especially those programs that shows how powerful superheroes are. Children tend to idolize the superheroes on the program they usually watch and copy their moves especially on violent scenes. Aggression is the major behavior they could easily pick-up from those types of programs.

Video games encourage children to show aggressiveness by defeating their virtual enemies based on what they saw on their favorite anime programs on TV. Giving your child a gun toy is just like you are agree that your child should learn violence and aggression. Because of exposure to violent anime series on TV kids learn to be aggressive.

Children tend to imitate what is shown on television thus we need to set limitations and know what they are watching for them not to be exposed to violence and aggression as much as possible.

Instead of letting them watch television or play a video game, why not let your child play games that uses their imagination to solve problems like picture puzzles, or blocks for them to create buildings or any shape that uses their imagination?

Painting and drawing are nice past time play for little kids too. You just need to guide your child and play with them for them to learn to love the educational games you are introducing as an alternative to the violent shows and games they play.

Potatoes, both Irish Potato and Sweet Potato have a lot of health benefits. Aside from the fact that they are affordable and tastes good, potatoes have certain contents that can help strengthen our immune system and overall well-being.

Maybe you are interested to know which among the two is healthier to consume, sweet potato or an Irish potato so I made a research about that. According to the Nutritionists, sweet potatoes are many time healthier that Irish potatoes in regards to carbohydrate, calcium, sodium, silicon, and chlorine contents.

Have you tried to consume potato on its raw state? It is healthier than cooked one. I have not tried munching raw potatoes yet but at home we extract raw potatoes. It tastes good along with freshly extracted carrot juice (Irish potato plus carrots or sweet potato plus carrots). I usually do this if skin blemishes flare up because raw potato is effective in clearing up skin blemishes. My family drink freshly extracted juice too, not just because it is good for the skin but of its effectiveness in maintaining blood pressure on normal level.

What are the contents of raw potato that could clear up skin blemishes? It contains sulphur, potassium, phosphorus, and chlorine. These powerful elements are converted into an inorganic atoms if potatoes are cooked making them ineffective. As for me, a raw potato (either sweet or Irish potato) along with carrots tastes good, especially if you use sweet potatoes. If you have no gut to try drinking freshly extracted raw potatoes, think of the benefits you can get out of it for you to be more motivated to consume raw potatoes.

Aside from the two benefits I mentioned earlier, consuming raw and, or steamed potatoes could help you control your appetite; it could prevent you from kidney damage, heart attack, and stroke due to high blood pressure; and it could protect you from certain cancers because of its vitamin C and potassium contents.

Baked, mashed, and boiled potatoes are still healthy to consume but not that beneficial compared to raw. Easily digestible sugars in raw potato are converted to starches when it is cooked thus you cannot maximize the nutrition it offers. If you can dare to eat raw potato like you are eating an apple, go! Don’t hesitate to peel it because vitamin C content of potato is not near the skin but at the center of the potato.

Some people prefer to eat potato if it is fried like potato fries and potato chips. Sad to say it is not good to eat fried potatoes, not just because of the oil but of ACRYLAMIDE formation when potatoes are fried. Other people love to eat potato that is cooked along with meat. Did you know that Potato and meat combination could enhance the effect of SOLANIN? Solanin is predominant in green potatoes, it is an alkaloid compound.

Most of us value happiness, health, family, friendship and education. Some value popularity, money, nice clothes, new car, and new gadgets than any other things. What we consider valuable could affect our behavior. We may be aware of it or not those values could influence our daily decision making. The mixture of values we have and the importance we give each value makes us unique.

Values are not inherited; it is developed as we grow old. Our experiences contribute to our values thus it is subject to change. Some of what we value most for now may become less important in the future and the least important for now may become the most valuable years from now.

There are factors that influence in the development of our values. Relationships with other people are the most important factor. Our family, friends, and people we meet could influence our values. Our experiences, knowledge, and education could affect our values too. How can you value something you don’t know anyway?

Our needs could influence our values too. We value what we need most. Do you think your best friend will value her favorite star’s concert over a healthy and yummy dinner when she fasted for more than 24hours? Obviously, our morals and religious beliefs could affect our values too. And, what we value could affect our views in life, of what we consider good or bad, and of what is right and wrong for us.

If someone utter the word values, maybe lots of idea will come out in your mind like family values, property values, car values, used car values, book values, blue book values, home values, trade in values, coin values, house values, gold values, etc. It usually correlates on the things you value for now, right?

We need to understand our own values because it makes us unique. It plays a big role how we behave, it could influence our choices, and could affect our reactions to ideas and objects. Values are personal, vary from person to person. Thus, before we criticize other people we need to stop and think.

My son took us out for dinner today. I actually told him that we can just buy food and then cook a special dinner at home. I was thinking about how much we would be able to save, but he insisted on us dining out for a change. Besides, he isn’t home most of the time, most especially now that he needs to live on his own. He said, he doesn’t want me to get tired cooking and preparing dinner. He wanted me to just sit back and relax, order my favorite food and have a great night. What a sweet boy! So much like his father.

I’m happy and grateful of the long weekend because from Friday night until tonight, I got to spend it with my whole family. Both my son and eldest daughter filed for a vacation leave for one day to extend the long weekend, and it ends today. The past four days has been full of fun and enjoyment. Tomorrow, my eldest will have work again, the little one got school, and my son’s flight is early this morning, and he will return back to his own place and do his own thing.

Our next family bonding and dining out would be on the Christmas holidays, but we are planning to go to the beach since my son won’t probably be home next summer. His next vacation after this Christmas will be December next year, because he will likely go to UK before summer ends next year. So, for the entire next year, he will be far from us. I am missing him already. I’ll make sure that we will all have a great Christmas this year.
