I am not saying that I am the best wife in this world, but I would claim the right to be the best wife to my husband. What others think about me doesn’t really matter that much. But, what my husband thinks about me, matters, because his impression of me, measures up how I am doing as a wife.
There are a few secrets when it comes to making the relationship and marriage work, and mostly depends on the wife.
The most basic thing a wife should always remember is, “Don’t be a nagger!” Sometimes, instead of your husband being excited to go home straight after work, they tend to go out with friends, to avoid spending more time at home to hear all your nagging.
Believe. Let your partner feel that you trust and believe in him. Most wives find it hard to do, because they are always thinking that their husbands are lying and being unfaithful. But, if you learn to trust and believe in your husband, he will learn to love and appreciate you more. The worst thing that you could make you man feel, is that you have no trust or faith in him.
Accept not just his strengths but as well as his weaknesses. You married a man, and his whole being, not just a part of him that you like, or pleases you. Show your appreciation and acknowledge his efforts. If he achieved something, make him feel that you are proud of him.
Love yourself a little more, because when you love yourself, you become even more capable of sharing that love to others, most especially your husband. Take care of yourself, your health, practice healthy hygiene, always strive to look attractive, despite all the house work and stress.
Be a pleasant wife to come home to. Your husband could stand and tolerate going home to a messy and disorganized home, but never a quarrelsome and nagging wife, who looks awful. don’t give your a husband a reason to dislike you and dislike going home to you. Always wear a smile on your face, and don’t forget to give him that sweet kiss and embrace when he goes to work, and when he gets home. Be a wife that he can be proud of.
Talk and Listen. Be open to communication. Talk things over and don’t be too assuming. There’s no problem that can’t be resolved through communication. Let him talk, and listen to every word that he says. Explain your side, and give him a chance to explain his side as well.Sharing your thoughts and feelings through contant communication, makes both of you know each other much better. This way you get to understand each other more.
Don’t be afraid to say sorry and to admit you were wrong. Learn to accept his mistakes and be forgiving. When you forgive, learn to forget. Forgiveness is a gift that you can not only give to someone else, but as well as yourself. It lightens the heavy load that you carry in your heart. Always be open to starting all over again, after a fight.
Pray together. Make God the center of your marriage, and everything will fall into their proper places. Trust in Him to guide you every step of the way. Rather than discussing your problems with other people, lift up your cares and worries to God.

In a blender, place 3 cups of water. Then Add 2 cups of old fashioned oats rich in great soluble fiber. Microwave 1/4 cup high lysine yellow cornmeal in 1/2 cup of water. Slowly pour into the mixture in the blender. Add 1/4 cup soy powder (fortified with calcium and vitamin B12). Add 1/2 teaspoon salt (to bring out the whole grain flavor). Blend these ingredients until smooth and let them set for 3 to 4 minutes
Pour blended waffle batter into a hot waffle iron. You may need to add a little more water into the batter so that it would pour out easily. Then, sprinkle the top of the waffles with ground flaxseed or pumpkin seeds, high in omega 3 fatty acids. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the waffle is light golden brown and crisp. When the batter is of proper consistency. The waffle will be as light and crisp as a vanilla wafer.
Once the waffle is already baked, spread lightly with whip or all purpose cream, or if you prefer almond butter or mono rich peanut butter. A light French dressing (oil, vinegar, lemon juice, and seasonings) is appropriate for almost any salad. Mayonnaise, whipped cream, or cooked dressing should be used according to your own taste. Don’t be afraid to experiment. Out of the basic salad dressing ingredients, you may be able to create something special.
Salad Dressings Basic Ingredients that you may use:
Oils. Fruity Italian oil, olive oil, or french type such as vegetable oils made from corn, cotton seeds, peanuts, soybeans, and canola.
Vinegar. Strength of vinegar varies. That’s why it is important to add vinegar to the other ingredients a little at a time until your desired taste is reached. Old-fashioned vinegar has a wild taste. For a distinctive taste in your dressing, you may either use vinegar from tarragon, wine, pear, garlic, onion, or specially seasoned vinegar.
Seasonings. Use regular table salt. Black pepper is at its best when freshly ground. Fresh garlic should be minced, otherwise, you may opt for garlic salt or powdered dry garlic. Use dried or fresh herbs sparingly. With herbs, a little goes a long way.
Other Salad Staples. Keep these condiments at hand: garlic, celery salt, onion salt, minced salt, and onion juice. Horseradish pickle relish and seeds like caraway, sesame, celery and mustard add a distinctive flavor to both salads and salad dressings. Don’t overlook fresh and dried herbs such as sage, mint, chive, basil, oregano, and dill. Use sharp table steak sauce and red pepper sauce for zesty tang. Crunchy nuts and raisins give pleasing texture and taste.

To Stop Hiccups, there are several effective remedies that you can do. Hiccups are often taken for granted by most people, but it could be dangerous, especially if someone has asthma or heart ailments.
A wise mom should know what to do just in case her kids, or anyone in the family is having hiccups. Whatever will rest the diaphragm or interfere with the phrenic nerve, which triggers the spasms, will do the trick.
The simplest remedy is letting the patient blow into a paper bag. But there are other more effective ways to stop hiccups immediately. Two other known effective methods done to stop hiccups are suggested by experts.
The first method to stop hiccup is done by rubbing a cotton swab on the back part of the roof of the mouth, where the hard palate joins the soft palate. This stimulation shuts down the phrenic nerve.
The second method to stop hiccup should be done with the presence of an adult. Let the patient swallow a teaspoon of dry, granulated sugar in a sucking fashion. Instruct the patient not to hold the sugar long enough for it to melt in the mouth, rather, have the patient suck it down dry, so that the granules will hit the back of the throat. This way, it would stimulate the nerves there, interrupting the spasm signals effectively.

Fried Tofu Cubelets
For the ingredients, you will need 1 kilo of tokwa or tofu , 1 1/2 cups of cornstarch, 2 teaspoons blackpepper, salt and curry powder, 1/2 pack cream of mushroom powder, 2 tablespoons chicken powder, if available, and last but not the least, 2 cups of oil for deep frying.
First, Cut tokwa or tofu into cubelets. Set aside. Then, combine all the dry ingredients. Preheat the oil in deep sauce pan. Roll and dredge the tokwa or tofu cubelets into the flour mixture and deep fry til golden brown.
This dish is best served when hot, and as an alternative to chicken nuggets. Serve with ketchup, gravy, or your kids choice of sauce. Happy healthy eating!

Protein is a very important part of the daily diet. It supplies the body with tissue-building materials known as amino acids. This function can be done only by protein itself. This is why growing kids need proper protein intake, to help build strong muscles.
Because our body does not store protein, we need a daily supply of it from external sources through the food that we eat. Children and adult alike, require a regular protein intake proportionate to their body weight inj order to maintain overall health and well-being. Too much protein, however, may eventually lead to heart disease. Many animal foods considered to be major sources of protein are actually high in purines and saturated fats which may cause elevated levels of blood, uric acid and cholesterol.

One of the favorite pastimes of every family is watching movie, but not all movies are suitable for kids. As parents it is our duty to screen the kind of materials that our kids get exposed to. Sometimes, we just get surprised to see violent or obscene scenes while watching what we thought was a wholesome movie. Therefore it is best to be knowledgeable about the movies as much as possible by doing a little research and reading movie guides. There are still wholesome film selections for kids out there.
We are all aware that little kids are like sponges, they tend to mimic whatever they see or hear. Remember, what goes into a kid’s mind will stick with him for quite sometime. It may be like writing using indelible ink; it cannot be easily erased.
Determine what movies are being shown and base your conclusion on the plot of the film, the story, the characters. And though this would mean doing a little research regarding the said films, it would be worth doing for the benefit of your little ones. Read critiques and watch film previews – but once again, bear in mind that just because a film is rated as a PG film, it does not mean it is appropriate for a minor viewer. Sometimes these limited reviews are intended to promote the movie to gain high ratings and earn high gross rather than to provide a precise critical review and information of the film.
Don’t hesitate to ask for advice from other parents who may have already watched the film or flicks. It’s a good idea to be cautious about this too, as every parent do not think similar. Many consider their minors are “mature” enough to comprehend what they see and hear. So, what these parents possibly find suitable to their kids may not be a good choice for you or your own kids.
Go with your instinct because you know your child better than anyone. If the scenes in a particular film is something that you think would be detrimental for your kid’s mental or emotional growth, don’t go for it. Choose the films that your kids will watch, and choose those that have moral lessons, and story that they can relate to and will not influence them negatively.

Gardening is one of the most productive hobby that me and my family share. We plant different kinds of vegetables, so we don’t have to buy them in the market anymore. Besides, home grown organic vegetables are healthier than those that are commercially produced and sold at the markets.

If you are a first timer in gardening, there are a few things that you need to know to start a vegetable garden, but it’s not really a difficult thing, however, it requires a lot passion and patience, because once you start gardening, you will have to work on it, take care of your plants, for as long as they exist and or as long as you want them to continue growing and producing.
First, think about what kind of vegetables you’d like to grow, then buy seeds from a reliable source. Second, you need to find a perfect spot for your vegetable plots. You need to have a space that has adequate sunlight, and fertile soil that is able to absorb the water well. You also have to remove the weeds and all other plants in that spot.
You don’t just plant your seeds right away. First you need to condition the soil for planting. You have to make it fertile and well irrigated. If you plan to do organic vegetable gardening, use fertilizers made out of natural materials such as decayed vegetables, and other animal compost products. It will take a few weeks before your plots are ready, and once they are you can start planting your seeds, and then make sure to water your plots once a day. Do not pour too much water, just enough to keep the soil moist.
You may notice weeds growing even before your seedlings do, make sure to remove them immediately because they absorb the soil nutrients that are meant for your seeds. After a few weeks you will notice tiny sprouts starting to grow. At this stage, you should not pour too much water in them because they are sensitive and may die of too much water.
Growing vegetables gives me a sense of fulfillment that I can’t describe, and when harvest time comes and feed your family with your own healthy product of your own labor, the happiness it brings is lasting — and you get to save money too, because you don’t need to buy those vegetables from the market.
One of the most important part of our house is the playroom aka family entertainment room. It is great to have a children’s playroom or play area in your homes for so many reasons. First of all, it means that your bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and other parts of your home do not get cluttered up with children toys and other playthings. Not all families have the luxury of an extra room, where you can place all the toys and playthings, and make your children spend time exclusively for playing, but if you have an extra room to spare in your house, think hard about this idea, because you will realize how helpful it would be, most especially in keeping yopur home organized.
The kids playroom will be a good place to keep all of their kids games altogether in one place. They can play there all they want, and if they get messy, you only have that specific room to clean up, compared to not having one and the kids roam around the house playing where they want, and getting messy all over. The task of cleaning the whole house is definitely more difficult and time consuming compared to cleaning up just one specific area or room. And if your kids get a bit older,
you can transform it into a family entertainment room where you can add game tables, and other gaming and entertainment gadgets where the whole family can play together, during weekends or evenings. Come to imagine how great it would be if the family can all be at home at special occasions and play your favorite family game — or watch movies together, play xbox or playstation, dance revo, and even pool, if you have a pool table. It could really help keep the family together and do something in common at home.
It could also be a great hangout for your teens who would rather bring and invite their friends over for a good entertainment, rather than them going out to places where you are not sure if they are safe. And while everyone has a place to have great and clean fun at home, the rest of your home is free from getting messed up, so there is no need to do general cleaning every day. It would also be a perfect place to keep all the toys as a collection of your family, toys that you can still hand down to your grand kids.
Most kids who have sleeping problems have messy rooms filled with toys and all other gadgets that distracts and diverts their attention. So, another advantage of having a separate playroom is that your kids will be able to sleep well in their bedroom, since they will only be using it for relaxation, and sleeping. And they can fix their own rooms and clean their own rooms too, but if your kid is still small, you can do the cleaning up but and it will be less messy without all the toys scattered all over. So, think about sparing that one special room that could make a lot of difference than you can imagine.
