Varicose veins treatment is necessary because there are many health risks involved. Most women acquire pregnancy varicose veins, due to the extra weight of the baby they carry on their wombs. But usually women take it for granted. Perhaps they do not have any idea that their varicose veins legs is not a simple condition as it looks.
Varicose veins pain could get really bad, and the worst case scenario and complications caused by clotting of the blood in the legs could lead to blockage and swelling, or the blood clot can travel upward and get lodged in the lungs causing respiratory failure. Respiratory failure than can cause death.
Varicose vein may look really bad when they become like spider veins swollen and surfacing from the surface of the skin of your legs. It sometimes looks scary like the veins are about to burst. Some doctors require those patients to go through procedures like laser varicose veins surgery, that are done to prevent the worst possible outcome.
If the varicose vein problem is not yet that worse, there are simple things that can be done to prevent the condition from worsening. Simple varicose veins treatment such as wearing hose stockings to support the veins so the blood won’t remain in the legs, and taking time to relax your legs every now and then. If it is possible, you can lie down with your legs raised, so that the blood will freely flow back. In the evening, prop up your legs on a pillow to support it.
If you are experiencing pregnancy varicose veins, or the simple case of leg varicosities, do not take it for granted. Pay your doctor a visit and ask for the best possible varicose veins treatment, remedy or advice he or she can give you.
If I were the President, I would know that the task at hand would not be easy. First of all, reviving a country in chaos will take a lot of guts, effort and time. While the tide agaunst clean government is very dominant, I guess I would need to be strong and powerful enough to put a stop on graft and corruption, to choose men of integrity to sit in the office, to unify and organize my government for the well-being of the nation.
If I were a lawmaker, I would propose many changes in the moral and political laws of our land. I would see to itthat they are implemented to minimize, if not eradicate, corruption, crimes, and injustices in our country.
There are lots of so-called complicated human laws in our country, which are only made more complicated by the rich or corrupt politicians at the exp[ense of the poor and the common people. If I were a lawmaker, I would enact laws that will seek true justice for everyone. Law based on the divine standards and not merely laws of men should prevail.
But I am not, and neither am I bagging or running for a position to be a government official. I hate how they abuse and exploit others for their own selfish reasons. I want to help my country, by simply being me. I am a mother.
I am a mother, and a mother’s role cannot be compared to anyone elses. Mothers are important not only at home, but in the community and the world. While there are a lot of trouble around, I think mothers can play the most important role to help ease and solve the problems. We can give our children proper care, guidance, love and all the proper training before they go out to face the world and live their own lives. Disciplines people, are products of disciplined homes. Good citizens, are products of good parents, most especially a good mother.
Presidents and lamwakers have mothers too. Now the question is, did their mothers do their jobs and perormed their roles well, to mold these leaders and lawmakers with not only discipline, but of good virtues and fear of the Lord.
I am a mother, and I am proud to be one. Are you? Let us shape our children to become better persons, that they may grow up as good citizens, businessmen, lawmakers, and who knows, Presidents.

No matter how busy you are with work, or other chores, this should not exempt you from telling your kids about God. I introduce God to my kids through the “hows” — how to interact and respect other people, how to ask for forgiveness from others, and how to be forgiving. As God is forgiving, I also introduce my kids to the art of knowing how to apologize and to ask for forgiveness to any whom they have hurt, and above all, to God.
My introducing God to my children started while they were still in the womb. How? Through family worship and regular church attendance. Since they were still in their formative years, my husband and I continued to spiritually nurture them through the same practice.
Except for illness, we never miss church services. In church, they learn more about God through stories and sermons. We also see to it that we practice what we preach.
The basic foundation that I try to impart to their young minds is the golden rule of the Bible which says, “Whatsoever ye would that man do to you, do ye even so to them.” I don’t look down on people, and I teach my kids to do the same. We tell them that all of God’s creation deserves to be loved and respected equally. We always mention God’s love and blessings, and remind them to pray always.

Kangkong also known as swamp cabbage or water spinach has so many health benefits that many people do not know about. Contrary to its being labeled a poor man’s vegetable, Kangkong is rich in carotene, vitamins and minerals that is excellent for one’s health.
Kangkong grows practically everywhere, but usually in swamps. However, I prefer the home grown ones in the dry lands, otherwise known as upland kangkong, over the wild ones growing in the watery places. You have to be careful which one to buy.
Kangkong comes in varieties ranging from purple stemmed ones with narrow leaves to white stemmed ones with broad leaves. Kangkong is usually used as an ingredient in sinigang (sour stew). It can also be cooked as salad, adobo, and other appetizing dishes.
Kangkong is a good source of carotene, which in turn, can be converted to Vitamin A by the body. Kangkong is beneficial most especially to people suffering from hypertension. When ingested roughage, it helps eliminate fatty deposits in the alimentary canal that would otherwise lodge in the blood vessels. So, for those who are hypertensive, you can get the most out of the health benefits of kangkong, for less and even no price at all.
Ever wondered why there are less hypertensive poor individuals than the rich ones who dig into delicious food, and enjoy dining at expensive restos?
Carbohydrates have essential functions to perform. They provide most of the energy in the diet and supply an appreciable amount of protein. About 50-57 precent of our calories should come from carbohydrates, to supply us with energy to keep us alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic!
Found almost exclusively in plant foods, carbohydrates are abundant in root crops, cereals, grains, legumes, vegetables, and fruits. Milk is the only animal-derived food that contains significant amounts of carbohydrates.
Root crops that have high starch content include cassava (kamoteng-kahoy), taro, sweet potato (kamote), white potato (patatas), goayam (toge), and purple yam (ube). Among these crops, cassava has the biggest amount of starch, which amounts to 34 percent. Tapioca is the commercial term for cassava starch.

I am proud of being a mother to four beautiful and healthy kids, two sons and two daughters. I consider them my trophies and my greatest achievements in life. Parenting four children is not an easy task. It is an unpaid profession with a lifetime responsibility of building a godly and firm foundation for my children’s spirituality and morality. With God’s grace, I will be proud to present my four trophies to God.
Watching kids grow from infancy to childhood, to adolescence, is a fascinating experience. Despite the challenges and the different roles parents have to play, parenting is more of a puzzling yet rewarding journey.
I’m proud to be a mom. God has entrusted me with healthy and bright children. I can see that they cope well to varied circumstances. They interact well with visitors, relatives, and friends. They behave appropriately in church, school, and public. The Lord has blessed me with children having physical, emotional, social, and spiritual lifestyles. Being an example to them, especially in spiritual sense, could be a difficult task, but I’m glad that they have embraced the teachings of Jesus.
How about you? What Makes You Proud Being A Parent?

A united family endures trials. Family members become stronger and firmer through the intimacy between the mother and the father and the harmonious relationship between parents and children. I believe that family unity can be established through a solid foundation built upon love, respect, acceptance, and making Christ the center of the family.
Love holds the family together. It provides the stimulation to labor for satisfaction of the family’s needs. Respect cherishes every individual’s value, motivating children to remain devoted to one another. Recognizing individual differences and accepting them enable understanding to exist; strengths are capitalized and weaknesses overcome. Making Christ the center of the home fortifies the family.
Family bonding is strengthened by family worship, reunions, and outings or picnics.
Family worship enhances learning of moral values, promotes relationship with God, enables the exercise of faith, and motivates family members to serve others.
Family reunions, when involving relatives and done regularly, develop closer relationship among kin as they get to know each other better.
Family outings and picnics allow family members to play, eat talk, and even work together. They also break the tension and distance resulting from the rush and pressure or work and school.
Sharing happiness, even sorrows, can also help strengthen family bonding and unity.
Most modern home kitchens have microwave ovens. Aside from the fact that it is lighter and does not take up too much space, it is easier to use in cooking different type of dishes. But microwave ovens require maintenance, caring and cleaning too. Today, I will share some tips in proper usage of the microwave oven and how you can keep your microwave ovens good as new.
To avoid unpleasant odors to develop inside the oven, leave the door open for a few minutes after each use. This should also be done in case you are cooking diferent type of dishes, to avoid the smell of one food to stick with the other, thus ruining your perfect recipe. After using, leave the door open for awhile not only for the smell to exhaust, but also to make the heat subside faster.
Once the oven is not in use, be sure to have it unplugged to avoid any accidents. Clean the oven by spraying the inside with an all purpose cleaner and wipe with a cloth. You may also use baking soda mixed with water, in cleaning.
Avoid trying to microwave something too big for the oven. Doing so would not only make the lifespan of your device shorter and cause damage on the hinges, but as well as endanger your health. Opened microwave oven while cooking mayu expose you to leaking microwave radiation.
Regularly check the gaskets or the rubber ring that cushions the microwave oven door to be sure that it seals properly. Lastly, be sure to keep them in place where your young ones could not reach or play with them.
As a wise mom, you should know all the possible conditions of your kids or any family member, so you can find a way to deal with it properly, and to keep them healthy at all times.
One of my kids have this lactose intolerance condition. For the benefit of those who doesn not know, lactose intolerance is a condition that arises from a genetic inability of the intestine to digest lactose, the predominant sugar in all dairy products. The intestinal enzyme called lactase breaks down lactose into simple sugar that the body can easily digest. Lactose intolerant people, however, have an inadequate amount of such enzyme.
It is easy to find out if you or any of your kids, or family member is suffering from this condition. Whenever a person who has lactose intolerance, gets to ingest milk or any dairy food, they suffer from abdominal cramps and nausea. Some lactose intolerant people can mange to stomach certain dairy products in relatively small amounts; but others have to completely avoid them, otherwise they would be suffering from mild to sever stomach aches.
I found out that one of my kids was suffering from the said condition, because she always complain of tummy pain after ingesting certain amounts of dairy products. When she was young, it was hard because growing kids need dairy produts as a source of protein and other minerals. So, what I did was research for certain protein and calcium-rich food that would still meet her daily dietary needs.
Cereal made of ground monggo and oats. I feed her with fish with vegetables like malunggay (horseradish) or saluyot with bamboo shoots, or dishes like broccoli or cabbage, with either tokwa or tofu. And still let her drink milk, but instead of the usual cow’s milk, I give her soy milk instead.
There are unlimited number of dishes and other dairy product replacements that you can give a person with lactose intolerance. This way they can continue to enjoy their food, life, and live normally without having to suffer from too much pain due to their condition.
Today, I will share some wise mom tips on how to keep your silverware clean and tarnish-free. Some might say, oh that’s such an easy task. But who knows? You might be doing it all wrong! It is important to keep our silverware clean, looking new and tarnish-free at all times. Even the smallest details would reflect on what kind of a home-maker and person you are.
Cleaning and caring for your silverware
Wash them promptly after every meal to keep them tarnish-free, and to avoid discoloration. Wash silverware in hot, sudsy water, and rinse them in hot, clean water. Do not soak silverware in water for long periods. Doing so loosens the knife handles and dulls the finish.
Wash silverware immediately after contact with certain foods like mayonnaise, mustard, eggs, and any form of rubber, because they tarnish the silver.
Using a clean cloth, dry each piece immediately, right after washing. It is important to wipe each piece of silverware dry. Never leave them to try themselves.
Then store properly in a place where it wont get scratched and would not get exposed to air. Constant exposure of silverware to air will cause them to tarnish.
Cleaning Your Silverware In case of tarnish building up
Apply a silver cleaner on a soft clean cloth. Wipe the silverware using gentle. lengthwise strokes until tarnish is removed. Follow the contour of each piece, and never use circular or rubbing motion.
Wash silverware in hot, sudsy water, and rinse them thoroughly in hot, clean water. Then wipe them dry immediately, after washing. Store properly.
