Today, our mode of transport has totally changed. Our transportation system has grown fast paced and complicated so that it becomes less available for our usual personal use. Buses and the trains especially have become solely for the mass transport of workers to and fro their work places. It is no longer effective nor readily available for running personal errands nor to transport goods to the market.

So we need a car for our personal use. This is especially important when we have a small business and have to shop for goods on a regular basis. Our family can use it also during excursions or camping in the beach or in the mountain. There’s no more need to spend a big amount to hire a car during family activities.

We can have our own car now through easy auto loans. We don’t have to wait until we have completely save the total amount for the car we desire. We can have it now, and use it in our small business. We can pay a small amount for it monthly, and we can use the rest of our savings and profit to improve and expand our business.

Since car is a necessity and an investment, we have to take care of it, not only its external looks, or its engine, but even the interior. During weekends, we usually reserve it for our family game night. We fix a light dinner, clean up and then we pull out the games. Since it was too early for dinner when we reached the mall. We decided to take a stroll and go window shopping for awhile. It has been agreed that we would not be shopping for anything, and just eat out. We have this agreement to avoid impulsive buying of things that might not be really that necessary. The whole family has developed that habit of planning our every purchase.

After about an hour or so, we went to the restaurant to eat dinner. We strolled again for a few more minutes, and then we decided to eat halo-halo in the nearby chowking branch before going home. Everyone had fun, and we were all thankful for the opportunity of being together, and having the  chance to go out as one happy family.

Although fathers do matter too, mothers make the biggest impact in a child’s life. Why? Because, even if it is the dad who usually works, in order to provide for the whole family, it is the mother who is always there to guide her kids. She  cooks for them, feeds them, takes care of them, and make sure that they are safe at all times.

Stay at home mothers like me, have chosen to set aside our personal dreams and careers, just to dedicate our time and life to our husbands and children. Working moms have it even harder, taking care of the kids and their partners, while needing to work at the same time.

Mothers comes in different shapes and sizes, and have different ways when it comes to taking care of our families. But, if there is one thing that is common among all of us, it is our utmost love for our children. We do not wear capes, but if you are to ask kids who are their heroes, the answer would be “MOM!”

At first, I thought she was just kidding, but when she showed me the comforters,  cotton bedsheets and pillow cases, I realized that she was serious about the offer. I have been wanting to buy new sets of comforters, bedsheets and pillowcases for my daughters, but did not have much time to go out and buy them.  so, I agreed to the deal, that she will just supply me with her items, enough to cover for the amount she owed me. I also needed gift ideas for a new mom that time, and it saved me money coz I got a new set of bedsheets and pillow for my cousin Dina.

Nelia was really glad that I accepted the offer, because she said that there was no way that she could pay me in cash for the next few months. But since I am interested with her deal, she was relieved.

The comforter sets are 100% made of cotton fabrics and are imported from Hongkong by her sister. Each set consists of  a comforter, a fitted sheet, a couple of pillow cases and a bolster case. She both have  king and queen sizes, as well as the junior sizes.  I just added extra cash for the extra pillow cases. She gave me super discounted prizes, and I’m so thankful for the offer.

I have checked the same quality of cloth and fabrics in the mall and they cost a lot. Her sister supplies for the same mall, and I can’t be thankful enough because her paying in kind became a blessing in disguise.

Don’t hesitate to ask for advice from other parents who may have already watched the film or flicks. It’s a good idea to be cautious about this too, as every parent do not think similar. Many consider their minors are “mature” enough to comprehend what they see and hear. So, what these parents possibly find suitable to their kids may not be a good choice for you or your own kids.

Go with your instinct because you know your child better than anyone. If the scenes in a particular film is something that you think would be detrimental for your kid’s mental or emotional growth, don’t go for it. Choose the films that your kids will watch, and choose those that have moral lessons, and story that they can relate to and will not influence them negatively.

Do you know that a home near the beach is good for health? The unpolluted cool morning sea breeze is good for bone marrow and can prevent cancer.

Most people want to be near the sea. Fishermen are happy with their catch. The surfers and swimmers become more physically fit. Artists and poets are enthralled by the grandeur of magnificent sunsets. Lovers want to see the foam of billowing waves and listen to the soothing music of Nature as the waves roll against the sands of the shore. These are the good things a home by the beach can offer which the urbanity of the city cannot give. There are beach homes for sale in this area but most of them are expensive, we don’t want to go back to the province too, because we don’t want to live too far from the city where our kids are studying and working.
