In our dialect we call our cat Miming. Our home cat is good at catching rats. Our home used to be frequented by rats, but when we reared a cat, they all disappeared.

Miming, our home cat has been with us two years now. He is a good cat, and obedient too. But he sometime scours the kitchen, when he becomes hungry. He is so selective in his food. He does not eat when there is no fish or vegetables. So, he goes out and looks for food outside. When he comes home, and has not found any food, he cries and ask for food and will not stop asking until you give him food.

One afternoon, he came home weak and with a wound on his face. His fur slightly covered it, and we did not know what caused it or who did it to him. Unlike the usual days where he would wander around and not stay home, he just slept near the fireplace insert and just curl there all day, a sign that he wasn’t feeling too well.

The wound was quite deep, and we had to treat him by pouring virgin coconut oil on his wound and filled it with activated carbon or charcoal. In a few days, the wound was gone. It is very effective for wounds; and it saved Miming’s life.

Today I will share to you some tips on How to Train A puppy, based on my personal experience as a dog and pet lover. There are a lot of books, videos, and articles on how to train a puppy. But there’s only one thing in common that dog experts says on how to train your puppy, they stress out patience and focus on the part of trainer since there is no shortcut for it.

Based on my own experience, since our family had pets ever since, and I had my own dogs since I was a kid too. It’s pretty simple, as early as possible we need to teach our puppy what is right especially if puppy is inside the house. Dogs are intelligent animals, they will understand your commands, the only important thing is you play the role of a pack leader so they will learn to follow and respect your authority.

Punishment is not the right thing to do for a puppy to learn. Praising you puppy every time positive outcome happened on your training will encourage your puppy to do the same act to receive praise from you. This is called an Operant Conditioning type of learning.

Train your puppy to follow a schedule when to eat, where to pee or soil, and also have a constant schedule for his physical fitness time. Yes, as early as possible, train your pet to be active for health reasons.

What is your pet’s reward for following your commands? Play and cuddle him after that is much more longer than any other time of the day for it to be special. Your pet would be looking forward to it, and will try to do better and follow your commands, to have playtime, good dog pats, and yummy treats rewards.

If you want to teach young children about responsibility, nurturing behavior and empathy, having a pet like fish, cat or dog at home will help a lot.

Nurture games are usually played by little girls like playing with dolls and playhouse as if little girls are parents who needs to take care of their house (playhouse) and kids (dolls) that boys considers sissy to play. If it seems awkward for young boys to learn about nurturing through playtime, what is the best option for you to do? Give them a pet a take care of.

Having a pet to care and nurture is pretty acceptable regardless of gender and age thus it is perfect to have a pet at home for your little ones, especially for young boys to take care. Pets could play a big role in development of your child. They can become your children’s children for them to take care, nurture and love. And their pets could be their good friend that gives unconditional love in return.

Having a pet could help your child learn the reality of life, the reality of loving others, and of life and losses too. Loss of a pet is a painful experience for kids but it could give them lesson how to cope well. Coping from loss (especially losing loved ones) could not be learned like other lessons in school, you need to experience it for you to learn. Mostly, loss of pet is child’s first experience of loss and grief.

There are lots of other benefits to enumerate to for a growing child to have a pet to take care of. So, why not give your child a pet as your gift? It is one of the best gifts your child will receive. Just make sure that it suites to your child’s age and health. If your child is allergic to furry pets, better give him or her a nice tank of tropical fish.

He looks a whole lot different, and also his coat has grown.

In contrary to what most people say that doxiepoo puppies take a long time to housebreak and to be trained to eat solid food, Robi is such a fast learner. He goes to his spot where the rug and newspaper is, poop and pee there only.

We feed him with milk and puppy food mixed with water. Just slowly switching and minimizing the milk, until his tummy has fully adjusted to the dog food. The vet advised that we feed him with homemade food though, because most pet dogs prefer and love homemade food like beef, fish, and vegetables. We also give him vitamins once a day.

Robi is well behave. Although he barks a lot at times, most especially when he ssees things that are new to him, and keeps on following us around too. He is very friendly to everyone. Even to our visitors and people he met for the very first time.

I would like to share the photo of Robi together with his mom and sibling pups. I got this photo from the owner to be included in the scrapbook that my youngest daughter is making for our pets.

It’s wonderful to see three young doxiepoo puppies with their mommy. It would have been great if the mommy doggie did not pass away, most especially because the pups are way too young.

The damsel is also a doxiepoo, but if you can see she is huge and has a very thick and wavy coat. That’s how Robi will look like when he becomes an adult. As you can see, out of the three pups, the two others are black, while Robi is the only brown with a mix of white. The sire or father of these pups is a black poodle.

His color is also one the reasons why we have chosen him. Aside from the fact that he looks unique, his coat isn’t that wavy too, compared to the other two, who have the tendency to have a curly coat when they mature. We can’t wait until Robi grows up a bit and have a thicker wavy coat.

I guess I have not yet mentioned that we adopted a new pet. We have a new puppy whom we named Robi.

At first, we did not want an additional pet because it means more time, and more maintenance work, plus going through the housebreaking process again. And we’re talking about a puppy that is way way too young to be released. But, we can’t leave a cute puppy without a home, most especially because he was just six weeks old when we brought him home.

My son named our new puppy, Robi. It sounds nice, so we all agreed to call him that way. Robi is a doxiepoo puppy whom we know, should still be staying with his mom. We still bottle-feed him up to now, but training him to eat on his own. We’re taking turns to do so, especially because the puppy want to be fed every now and then, even at night. It’s like having a new baby at home.

Robi is really adorable, and he does not cry a lot. I hope he stays that way until he’s bigger. He loves to cuddle to the his comforter and pillow. We also give him vitamins because he need it for his development. He also had his first set of 5 in 1 immunization and given medicines against parasites.

He looks a little messy in this photo because we have not given him a bath yet when this was taken. The vet advised to wait until he’s two months old, to avoid the puppy from getting stressed. Puppies should not be given bath when they’re too young because they’re still too sensitive. We just clean and wipe him with dry cloth. I will just paste another photo of him after his first bath.

You may be wondering why we took in a puppy that young and took it away from his mom. Actually, there’s no way the mom can take care of her three pups, because she died. The other male pup was given to the owner’s friend, the owner kept one female, and gave us one male.

By the way, for the benefit of those who don’t have any idea what a doxiepoo breed is, it’s actually a hybrid mix of dachshund and poodle. He is not that hairy yet, but sooner or later he will be. They say it takes between one to two years before doxiepoo pups coat really matures, but in just a few weeks we will see a huge difference.

My husband also happened to be a pet-lover since he was a kid. So, when we moved to our new house, we adopted our family pet dog and cat, and we consider them as a part of our family.

There are many significance in adopting a family pet dog or cat. Adopting a family pet can be a fantastic way to reduce our every day stresses and anxieties. Plus, there are numerous other reasons why adopting a family pet dog or cat can be significant in your lives.

It is not just for families but as well as individuals, both young and old, having a pet can be very helpful when we are feeling down, frustrated, or overwhelmed by the anxieties and stresses of our jobs, and other situations and happenings in this world.

It is proven how playing with our family pets can help reduce anxieties in any situation, and even cast away our fears and sadness because they have this kind of healing magic. Pets can make us happy, and busy in a good and fun way. Playing with pets is a very effective means of getingt our minds off of our problems. Whenever he gets frustarted, playing with his pet makes him feel better. It is also common for people to treat their pets like their confidants. Talking to their pets and sharing their problems and worries that they cannot share with other people, help them get their problems out and express their emotions without holding back. Pets, especially dogs, are also very reliable when it comes to keeping our family safe at all times. They have a strong sense for danger, and they are great guards. While cats are sweet and cuddly, and they are usually the most preferred pets for little girls.

Pets are faithful and will never leave your side no matter what, unlike people who are there for you through the good times, but leave you alone in bad times. Pets are not only a great addition to our family. By adopting a family pet dog or cat, you are saving a life of an animal that could very well become your whole family’s best friend.

Among the most charming pictures that hang on the memory’s wall of most grown-ups are those in connection with their childhood pets. That’s why I’m of the opinion that all kids should be allowed to keep pets, unless there’s a serious medical problem, or other serious reasons why your kids or little boys can’t have pets. Having pets is an important part of their growing-up process.

If you’re observant of human and animal relationships, it won’t be long before you’ll come to the conclusion that there’s mystic kinship between a boy and his dog, a sharing of affection and confidence that’s unique. A boy’s dog is his best pal, his playmate, his closest friend, his comforter when tears come, and his most attentive listener to whispered secrets.

“At the price of a dog tag and a bowl of food each day.” “A pup is the biggest bargain in any kid’s life.”
